“This is my first book from this author Melissa Yvonne and I will not hesitate to say this novel can become a fictional movie masterpiece if it finds a producer. Melissa has an exceptional and rare way of imaging and picturizing things and in a very subtle way mixes imaginary fiction with daily lives of people. Rating 4.8/5"

“Soul Mate Sh*t is an elegant story. The author uses all the ups, downs, and plains where it is needed. I loved the feminist touch of the story. And I'm sure you will love this book as much as I did. It’s so well written, you did everything perfectly. Looking forward to get more books from you. Rating 10/10"

"The author takes her audience on a journey that is painful, sensitive, and authentic. Yvonne engages her audience by smacking them hard with reality and the questions one oftentimes finds themselves asking. Interesting, realistic and hits home."

"From the very first page, I was sucked in! If you're human, you've let your mind wander here and there, but to tell of a real life marital affair and the chaos and romance that goes along with it, is something else! It ebbs and flows between real life and a fictional dream life, that will make audiences swoon!"

"I am an avid hater of adultery and so, when I read the blurb, I had quite made up my mind, and definitely had some pre-conceived notions that I was not at all going to like this book at all. However, I am so happy to admit that I was very wrong in this case. If you are like me, and don't like to read about cheating, and hence are thinking about not giving this book a try, then please don't do so. You should definitely give this a try, because I can guarantee that this book will not leave you disappointed at all. Rating 5/5"

“There are many things I like about this book. Firstly, I like the poems ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ and ‘Beauty Before The Stones.’ Secondly, the illustrations are artfully done. Thirdly, the author did a fantastic job of integrating two different love stories into one book. Fourthly, there are lessons to be learned. My favorite one is that the Universe provides you with what you need when you need it. I enjoyed reading this book and became engrossed in the story. Due to these reasons I gladly give a Rating 4/4"

"I’ve been doing narration for a while and this is the first book that made me pause because of how real and emotional it can get. The real life aspects of this book will definitely take you to a place where you think outside yourself and realize you may have gone through some of these situations at some point in your life. Writing about an affair is so taboo for some and courageous for this author to have done. Melissa did it with such grace and threw in a twist of fiction posing as her life experiences."

“It's sexy. It inspires. It's edgy. The story sways back and forth between weakness and strength. Every woman will relate on some level. It was a hard book to put down.”

"Daring, transcendental, grappling with the human experience. I just loved this book. It delves into the depths of the soul (ok that sounds heavy) but in a fun, flirty and totally engaging manner."
